EGYPT ITINERARY

October 23  – DEPART USA (Washington Dulles Airport)


TOUR SCHEDULE
DAY 1 (Oct. 24) – ARRIVAL IN CAIRO  A representative will greet you and assist with passport control formalities, luggage identification & porterage. From the airport, you will be transferred by a private A/C bus to your hotel for check-in. Early evening, you will be picked up from your hotel to enjoy a Dinner Cruise. Sit back and relax while you enjoy a colorful belly dancing show with a folklore band, featuring the unforgettable Tannoura spin, in keeping with Egypt’s whirling dervishes tradition. Afterward, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

DAY 2 (Oct. 25)  – Full day tour including Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Valley Temple , Egyptian Museum

After breakfast, you will join your private tour guide to visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World: Giza Pyramids complex includes three main pyramids, six little pyramids, the great sphinx and the Valley Temple. The complex dates back to the 4th dynasty 2400 years B.C. The Great Pyramids is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids of Giza plateau and the only one to remain intact from the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. The height of the great pyramid is 147 m, the number of stones used in construction is 2,300,000 and it took twenty years to be built. The Great Sphinx is the largest statue in the world, standing 73 m. long, 19 m. wide, and 20 m in height. It is the oldest known monumental sculpture. The Valley Temple: A Granite mortuary temple used by Ancient Egyptians for the mummification process and this is the only remaining one at Giza plateau. Lunch will be served at Pyramids restaurant. After lunch you will visit: The *NEW* Grand Egyptian Museum holds in trust for Egypt and the World a chronological statement for the ancient history of Egypt over the past 7000 years. Neighboring a timeless wonder, the Giza Pyramids, the new museum is to pay homage to eternal Ancient Egyptian monuments, treasures, and history hosting over 100,000 artifacts, about 3500 of which belong to the famous King Tutankhamen.

DAY 3 (Oct. 26)  – Transfer to Cairo airport for flight to Aswan (Cruise Day 1)

Upon arrival, check-in to your Nile cruise. Enjoy lunch on the cruise then enjoy a tour of ancient attractions in Aswan starting with: 

  • The High Dam – built across the Nile at Aswan and constructed between 1960 and 1970 and has had a significant effect on the economy and culture of Egypt.
  • The Unfinished Obelisk: The largest obelisk in ancient time. It was ordered by Hatshepsut (1508–1458BC) to complement the Lateran Obelisk (which was originally at Karnak} and was later brought to the Lateran Palace in Rome.
  • Philae temple dedicated to goddess Isis of Love and beauty. The temple complex was dismantled and relocated to nearby Agilkia Island as part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign project, protecting this and other complexes before the 1970 completion of the Aswan High Dam.

Overnight on board, sail to Kom ombo.

DAY 4 (Oct. 27) – Touring the Temples  Visit Kom Ombo temple. This temple is divided into 2 temples with 2 entrances, 2 hypostyle Halls, and 2 sanctuaries. Continue your journey sailing to Edfu. Visit Edfu Temple. Edfu temple is considered the most preserved Greco-Roman temple in all of Egypt. Its walls portray a “Play” which shows the overcome of Horus over the devil god, Seth. Sail to Luxor

DAY 5 (Oct. 28)  – After breakfast, visit Karnak Temples 

No site in Egypt is more impressive than Karnak temple. It is the largest temple complex ever built by man. It represents the combined achievement of many generations of ancient builders and Pharaohs. The Temple of Karnak is three main temples situated on 247 acres of land. The rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 6 (Oct. 29)  – Checkout after breakfast and visit the West Bank of Luxor including Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and Memnon Colossi.

The Valley of the Kings is the final resting place of Egypt’s rulers from the 18th to the 20th dynasty. This amazing structure is home to tombs including the great pharaoh Ramses II and boy pharaoh Tutankhamen. The tombs were well stocked with all the material goods a ruler might need in the next world. Most of the decoration inside the tombs is still well preserved. Hatshepsut Temple is one of the most beautiful & best preserved of all the temples of Ancient Egypt. The temple was built on three levels with two wide ramps in a central position joining the levels together. Colossi of Memnon: Two massive stone statues of king Amenhotep III are the only remains of a complete mortuary temple. The statues are made from blocks of quartzite sandstone. Visit Luxor Temples

DAY 7 (Oct. 30)  – Transfer to Hurghada You will be transferred by a private air-conditioned bus to 5-Star hotel in Hurghada. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Hurghada.

DAY 8 (Oct. 31) – After breakfast, join your private diving instructor for an amazing day of snorkeling and diving at the beach. 


DAY 9 (Nov. 1) - FREE DAY


Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner


DAY 10 (Nov. 2) – Representative will transfer you to the airport and assist you through final departure formalities. Arrive back in U.S.
